Director Marion County Office of Economic Opportunity
Teacher White Station High Memphis, Tennessee
For 30 + years I was a public school educator. It is my belief that educating children is one of the most important tasks we have. To me, educating children is giving them the tools to make responsible, informed, compassionate decisions. This is what my family and teachers did for me. It is what I did for my own children, and it is what I want to continue to do for students.
For 51 years I have been married to Edward Hooper, a retired pharmacist. We have two sons and five grandchildren. My hobbies are reading, traveling, furniture refinishing, painting, and kayaking.
