Attendance Policy for Marion County Schools

Marion County Board Policy states that students have five days in which to turn in excuses after returning to school. Some parents are under the impression they can bring the excuses to truancy court. No excuses, whether they are a doctor's note or parent's note, will be accepted after the five day window. This policy is being enforced at Jasper Middle School. Many announcements have been made so that students are aware of this policy.
