 Monday: From the time you’re born until you grow old, you will walk about 70,000 miles.  Walking helps keep your heart and lungs working well.

 

 Tuesday:  If you took all your blood vessels and stretched them out they would go around the whole world 3 times.  It is very important to keep your weight healthy by watching what you eat and exercising.

Wednesday: Your heart is the strongest muscle in your body.  It is about the size of your fist and weighs as much as a softball.  You need to exercise 30 minutes a day to keep your heart healthy.

 

Thursday:  In about one minute your blood circulates through your body 3 times.  The more overweight you are the harder your heart has to work so be sure to get enough exercise every day and eat your fruits and vegetables.

 Tuesday:  Placed end to end, the blood vessels in your body would stretch almost three times around the equator and if you are 25 pounds overweight, you have nearly 5,000 extra miles of blood vessels through which your heart must pump blood. It’s important to maintain a healthy weight through diet and exercise.

 

Wednesday: Your heart is the strongest muscle in your body, even though it’s relatively the size of your fist and weighs about as much as a softball.  Your heart beats about 100,000 times in a day and pumps about 2,000 gallons of blood per day.  It’s important to keep your heart healthy by exercising at least 30 minutes every day.

 

Thursday: It takes 3500 calories to make one pound of fat.  So if you are 20 pounds overweight you will need to burn off 70,000 calories.  Exercise is important at any age, every small change you make towards a healthy lifestyle can add years to your life.
