PathwaysTo Prosperity of Southeast TN

Uniting education and industry to expand career opportunities for our students

Pathways To Prosperity of Southeast TN is an initiative focused on ensuring more students complete high school and attain postsecondary credentials with value in the labor market. The mission of Pathways To Prosperity of Southeast TN is to provide students rigorous academic pathways linked to economic projections and labor market needs. These pathways have multiple entry and exit points in the educational process, transition seamlessly from high school to postsecondary institutions and support active industry involvement in student learning.

School systems in Hamilton, Marion, McMinn, Bradley County and the Cleveland City School System are part of the Pathways To Prosperity of Southeast TN Initiative. This Initiative has regional workforce relevance for two critical labor markets: Advanced Manufacturing and Information Technology.

Marion County Schools offers two Programs of Study in the Advanced Manufacturing Pathway: Machining Technology at Marion County High School and Welding at Marion County High School and South Pittsburg High School.

In the Information Technology Pathway, Marion County Schools offers Health Informatics which is part of the Health Science Career Cluster. The Health Informatics Program of Study is offered at Marion County High School, South Pittsburg High School, and Whitwell High School. The third course in the Program of Study sequence, Health Information Technology, is an on-line, dual enrollment course offered through Cleveland State Community College.
